Yep, I used to play soccer. By the looks of things, I was pretty proud of it too.

If you like this picture, I assure you there is another one from the same day (unfortunately lost to us…) of the entire team in which I look like a complete idiot.

My first season on this team, the coach put me at striker — big mistake. From then on, I played center fullback, where I couldn’t cause any damage.

I was actually pretty decent at defense, a trend I carried into basketball. Really, the only things I was ever really good at athletically were defense and running (editor’s note: these days I like to think I’m getting pretty good on the bike).
