I asked to visit the bridge of the East King and watched the captain and first mate edge the ship into the last lock of the Three Gorges Dam.  Behind the bridge, though, these guys were waiting out the four-hour trip through the locks with a very, very spirited game of cards.

The guy in the middle gave me the look of death for taking this picture.  He was so angry, I thought he was going to get up and come after me.
