After the conservation center staff called him down from a tree by waving apples in the air, I “donated” 400 RMB (about $60) to pet this panda while a staff member snapped photos.  That panda paid me no attention at all; he was far more interested in his apple (I figure you might be too if you were suddenly presented with a ball of sugar after a lifetime of gnawing on bamboo shoots).

You might think that pandafur would be soft (I did), but it actually feels like a stiff wire brush.  The more you know…
