Fight cancer
Cancer killed my Granpa, several of my friends’ parents, and my mother’s uncle. Even lost in the depths of Alzheimer’s, my Granny couldn’t shake the memory of how cancer deformed her brother’s good looks and stole her husband. 1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, and 3 in 4 families will care for a family member with cancer. I’m just tired of it.
In 2006, I shaved my head in solidarity with chemo patients, raced a triathlon (1 mile swim, 25 mile bike, 6.2 mile run), cycled a century (100 miles), twice got totally screwed by a foot injury, and raised over $4,800 for the fight against cancer.
